Barbeque Shredded Pork Recipes

Shredded Pork Sandwiches

This is one of our favourite barbeque shredded pork recipes. It is easy and very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs pork, butt or shoulder cut
  • ½ bottle barbeque sauce of your choice
  • 1 can beer or beef broth
  • 4-6 whole wheat buns

Directions:

  1. Place pork in slow cooker; pour beef or broth over it.

  2. Cover and cook for 4 hrs on high or 6-8 hrs on low setting

  3. Remove and shred meat with a fork. It should easily fall apart. Remove bones if not using boneless cut of meat.

  4. Return to the slow cooker, add barbeque sauce and cook on high for another 45 minutes to an hour.

  5. Alternatively you can place the shredded meat with bbq sauce in preheated oven (350 degrees F.) for about 30-45 minutes.

  6. Serve on buns with side of salad or yam fries
