Bbq Shrimp Recipe



This bbq shrimp recipe is a hit at my house. The kids love eating garlicky shrimp right from the skewers. I hope your family will enjoy it too!


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb raw shrimp peeled and devined with tails on
  • 4 Tbs olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ˝ tsp basil
  • wooden skewers

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients (except the shrimp) in a bowl. Add shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs or overnight.
  2. Remove shrimp from marinade and thread onto skewers
  3. Either grill or broil shrimp roughly 2 minutes per side or until pink. Do not overcook.

Serving Suggestions :

I like to serve shrimp with lemon wedges, garlic rice and vegetables.

Tip:

If you’re using wooden skewers, make sure you soak them in warm water prior to use.
