Chicken Taco Recipe
This chicken taco recipe is a great alternative to the more popular ground beef tacos.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 pkg. chicken taco seasoning
- 8-12 hard taco shells or soft tortillas
- lettuce, cut up
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- toppings of your choice: sour cream, salsa, guacamole
Directions:
- Cut chicken breast into thin strips
- Heat oil in large skillet and cook chicken until cooked and no longer pink inside. Make sure to stir frequently. Drain any liquid. Stir in ½ cup water and seasoning and simmer for 5 minutes stirring often.
- Heat taco shells or tortillas according to the instructions on the package.
- Spoon chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese and your favourite fixings into the shells.
