Cream Sauce Pasta Recipes
Fettuccine with Veal and Mushrooms
My whole family loves pasta. We especially enjoy cream sauce pasta recipes for their rich taste.
This recipe is delicious and veal makes a nice change. I hope your family enjoys it as much as we do!
Ingredients:
- ¾ lb veal scaloppini, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp garlic salt seasoning
- 2-3 tbsp. butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2/3 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup cream
- 1 tsp. dry chicken stock mix
- 1 tsp. oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2-3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 package fettuccine pasta
Directions:
- Mix flour with garlic seasoning. Coat veal pieces with the flour mixture.
- In a skillet melt the butter and quickly stir fry the veal until browned. Do not overcook. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- While you’re preparing the sauce, cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water, according to package directions.
- Place onion, garlic and mushrooms in the same pan and cook on medium heat for approximately 5 minutes or until vegetables are soft.
- Increase heat, pour wine into skillet and cook rapidly to reduce liquid. Add cream, chicken stock mix, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook for few more minutes to reduce liquid again and add veal towards the end of cooking time. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Pour the sauce over pasta and serve.

We like it with salad and garlic bread.
