Easy Beef Stew Recipe for the Slow Cooker

This slow cooker easy beef stew recipe is not only very tasty, but also super easy to prepare.

There is no need to brown the meat so you are only using your slow cooker. No big clean up!

You can add more vegetables of your choice. Sometimes I add peas and corn.

Ingredients :

  • 1.5 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2-3 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp beef stock mix
  • 3-4 potatoes, diced
  • 3-4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • ¼ cup red wine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Place meat in slow cooker and add flour. Mix well to coat the meat.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hrs or on high for 4-6 hrs

Serving Suggestions :

You can serve it with a salad and dinner rolls or on its own.
