Homemade Meatball Recipe
This is my favourite homemade meatball recipe. Serve with pasta sauce and spaghetti and dinner is ready!
Ingredients :
- 1 lb ground beef
- spaghetti
- 1 jar pasta sauce of your choice
- 1/2 small onion, minced
- 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup crushed whole wheat crackers or bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp parsley, dry
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions
- In a large bowl mix all the remaining ingredients until well blended.
- Shape the meat mixture into small balls, approximately 2 inches in size.
- Place the meat balls in a baking pan. Put in the middle rack of your oven and brown under the broiler for about 5 minutes. Turn and brown for 5 minutes longer.
- Remove from oven, place in a pot and cover with tomato sauce. Warm the sauce on medium heat until heated through. Serve over spaghetti.
Serving Suggestions :
Serve with salad and garlic bread.
