Homemade Meatball Recipe

This is my favourite homemade meatball recipe. Serve with pasta sauce and spaghetti and dinner is ready!

Ingredients :

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • spaghetti
  • 1 jar pasta sauce of your choice
  • 1/2 small onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup crushed whole wheat crackers or bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp parsley, dry
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions

  2. In a large bowl mix all the remaining ingredients until well blended.

  3. Shape the meat mixture into small balls, approximately 2 inches in size.

  4. Place the meat balls in a baking pan. Put in the middle rack of your oven and brown under the broiler for about 5 minutes. Turn and brown for 5 minutes longer.

  5. Remove from oven, place in a pot and cover with tomato sauce. Warm the sauce on medium heat until heated through. Serve over spaghetti.

Serving Suggestions :

Serve with salad and garlic bread.
