Mozzarella Chicken
Here is my favourite Mozzarella Chicken recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
- ¼ cup butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup flour for coating
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup dry white cooking wine
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Dip chicken breasts in flour, then egg and then bread crumbs. Place coated breasts in slightly greased 9x13 baking pan.
- To make sauce in saucepan melt butter and add garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add wine and simmer together for couple of minutes. Pour over chicken and bake in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes. In the last 10-15 minutes place mozzarella slices over chicken and return to oven till no longer pink inside and juices run clear.
