Pita Pizzas



Pita pizzas are a great alternative to your “traditional” dinner. And your children can help you by putting their own toppings on. My kids sure love that!


Ingredients:

  • 4 round pita breads
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 12-24 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 clove garlic, cut in half
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce

Directions:

  1. Rub pita breads with garlic and brush with olive oil

  2. Spread pizza sauce and top with pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese.

  3. Grill on barbeque with lid closed, or bake in the oven until cheese is melted and pita is crisp.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve with a salad of your choice.
