Pork Souvlaki Recipe

We usually eat chicken so pork souvlaki recipe is a nice change for my family. I use pork tenderloin so the kabobs are soft and tasty.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless pork tenderloin
  • 4 Tbs olive oil
  • 4 tbs lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic (or more to taste)
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp basil
  • Salt to taste (optional)
  • wooden skewers

Directions:

  1. Cut pork into cubes approx. 1 inch square

  2. Mix all other ingredients in a bowl to make marinade. Add pork pieces and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs or overnight.

  3. Remove pork from marinade and thread onto skewers Either grill or broil kabobs until no longer pink inside roughly 4 minutes per side.

Serving Suggestions :

I like to serve souvlaki with rice, Greek potatoes and vegetables.

Tip:

If you’re using wooden skewers, make sure you soak them in warm water prior to use.
