Recipe for Chicken Parmesan
This is my favourite recipe for Chicken Parmesan. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2C bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1Tbs olive oil
- ¼ C shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbs tomato sauce
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
- Place parmesan and bread crumbs on separate plates. In a bowl beat the egg with a tablespoon or two of water.
Coat the chicken with parmesan, then dip in egg mixture and then the bread crumbs.
- In a non stick skillet heat the oil on moderate heat.
Sauté the chicken approximately 3 minutes per side. Move the chicken onto a baking sheet, spoon the tomato sauce on top and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until chicken in no longer pink inside and juices run clear.
Serving suggestions:
I like to serve this dish with pasta and tomato sauce.
