Recipes for Pork Tenderloin

Roast Pork Tenderloin with Glazed Apples

This is one of the recipes for pork tenderloin that I got from my friend. Pork tenderloin is very tasty and tender and that’s why I prefer it over other cuts of pork. I hope you’ll enjoy it too!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs pork tenderloin
  • olive oil for frying
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 3/4 cup cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2-3 apples
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  2. Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. Heat oil in skillet and brown pork on all sides. Remove from skillet and place on a rack in baking pan. Add about ½ cup of water to the bottom of the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes of until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. Cooking times will vary according to the size of the tenderloins.

  3. Meanwhile prepare the sauce: reheat the skillet and add garlic. Cook for a minute, stirring. Stir in the mustard, chicken stock and apple sauce. Mix cornstarch with cream and add to the apple sauce mixture. Cook on medium heat, stirring, until the mixture thickens.

  4. Cut apples into chunks or slices. Melt butter in skillet, add brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add apples and cook until lightly brown. Stir occasionally.

  5. Remove pork from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  6. Serve with sauce and apples.
